Liability Release

Accepting an invitation and registering for a Pioneer Encuentro event includes accepting and agreeing to the terms of the following Liability Release Agreement:

I (We) hereby acknowledge and agree with the following terms as a condition of my (our) participation in Pioneer Encuentro 2026, a social dance event, on March 27-29, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah (hereafter referred to as “Pioneer Encuentro”).

I (We) acknowledge that Pioneer Encuentro will be an in-person event and I (we) agree, individually and on behalf of my (our) heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives, to discharge and release or waive any claim of liability and to hold harmless Pioneer Encuentro, members of the Pioneer Encuentro Steering Committee, and Pioneer Encuentro support staff (together referred to as “Organizer”) from any claim of liability or damages for any physical or emotional injury that I (we) might suffer as a result of my participation in Pioneer Encuentro. This waiver specifically includes but is not limited to the remote possibility that I might suffer some dance-related injury or contract a communicable disease, including but not limited to any variant of COVID-19 or any other contagion, while participating in Pioneer Encuentro.

Should I (we) bring any claim against the Organizer for liability and/or damages resulting from my (our) participation in Pioneer Encuentro, I (we) will be responsible for paying the Organizer’s reasonable attorney fees and costs for having to defend against such action.

I (we) acknowledge that the rules regarding communicable disease and participation in Pioneer Encuentro may change, at Organizer’s sole discretion, depending on the public health situation and local mandates in effect at the time of the Pioneer Encuentro 2026 event.
